Volunteers Help In Many Capacities
We have always had a volunteer program at The Children's Home. Interested people can contact Joyce Shoudy, Executive Director at jshoudy@bcchome.com. However since we have temporarily closed our residential program our opportunities for volunteers are diminished greatly. We can still use people who will volunteer to help maintain our property, both inside and outside. We have had to cut our expenses so greatly, that we only employ a part time maintenance man at this time. He is only here 12-15 hours per week. This is a big need for us at the current time.

Another area for volunteers is our newest program Gardner Place. Anyone interested in volunteering with this program should contact Joyce Shoudy at jshoudy@bcchome.com for more information.

Whether you are interested in volunteering to be involved with to help out with landscaping, maintenance, fund raising, board participation or any other area, we can find a spot to utilize your special gifts.

Our volunteers must complete a questionnaire, pass a police background check as well as a check with the State of Tennessee Sex Abuse Registry, provide non-family references and agree to attend training opportunities as scheduled by The Home throughout the year.
